UNIFI works in conjunction with any existing case management software. UNIFI will enable agency personnel to instantly publish data files on the platform so that other authorized users may access relevant records, thereby creating the capability to comply with New York’s recently reformed discovery laws with ease.

Additionally, SpeedChain’s underlying technology is substantially more secure than existing systems and processes. SpeedChain is an enhanced version of blockchain technology information. With UNIFI, control of the agency's information is never at risk for compromise, since agency administrators can easily set access rules for the platform.

All Agency activity in UNIFI is private and secure.An agency with access to UNIFI CAN NOT view or track any other agencies activity. Within an Agency, only those with Administrator access can view and track activity.

UNIFI can identify identical documents being published.Opening and viewing duplicate documents can be a wasteful time drain. Knowing that certain files are duplicates of others in the case file will save time.

UNIFI identifies if a file has been edited and re-uploaded.UNIFI will allow the “new” file to be uploaded and published, but will assign a new file name.

Security measures such as Cryptography and Encryption ensure that only those users who are authorized can see case file data.Agency Administrators will control who sees what and when. If many people need to see a case file, it can be set to be viewed by many. If the case file has information that is intended to be shared with only one or two parties, UNIFI can accommodate that as well. One to One or One to Many.

If a case gets sealed, UNIFI can quickly seal the case so that it is no longer viewable by any party, per the Court’s order.Case file transitions are easy to accommodate in UNIFI.

As a case continues to migrate though the criminal justice system, additional agencies who get assigned to work the case such as Probation, Corrections, Parole, 3rd Party Collateral contacts can continue to share data through UNIFI.UNIFI is not limited to serving Law Enforcement, Prosecution, and Defense Bar. UNIFI can also serve ANY agency public or private, that may encounter a case and/or defendant during the life of a case. Probation, Alternative Sentencing, County Correctional Services, NYDOC, Parole, Treatment, and private 3rd party groups supporting the public agencies can all work on a single case file and share important information about a case or defendant.

UNIFI FAQs

Can the other party see my files?

No. All files that are uploaded are private and are not accessible by the other party for eg; DA cannot see Defense bar files and vice versa. Only shared files can be viewed by both parties.

Does UNIFI provide secure login to my account?

All account logins are protected by MFA (Multi-factor authentication) ensuring that users login information is safe and secure.

Does UNIFI support SSO (Single Sign-on)?

Yes. UNIFI can support SSO with SAML or SAML (Secure Assertion Markup Language) to integrate into the county's SSO to eliminate dual logins. SpeedChain is built using Azure AD (Active Directory) and can integrate into current Active directory system like Microsoft AD.

Is there a storage limit for uploading files?

Unifi currently does not limit by the number of files uploaded or downloaded, our technology allows unlimited growth (capacity in Petabytes).

Is there a max size of file that can be uploaded?

Even though SpeedChain does not have a file size limit, we request each file to be no more than 1Gb (1 Gigabyte) to ensure faster upload and downloads.

Are the files stored securely?

SpeedChain technology is built with security for all uploaded files, including Military-grade encryption, Azure Key Vault for Key storage and Smart contracts for access control.

Can the files tamper after they are shared?

SpeedChain technology disallows file tampering, as every file is identified by a unique fingerprint consisting of encoded and hashing algorithms that prevent tampering.

Can UNIFI detect duplicate files?

SpeedChain technology can detect a duplicate file that has been shared, within a case. Additionally, the file is marked as duplicate thereby reducing wasted time in duplicate file processing.
